The morning session is designed for people new to firearms. It will be a VERY BASIC class. The following topics will be presented: The 4 universal gun safety rules, the various parts making up the firearm, how the firearm works, the various safety mechanisms of different pistols, different sights and how to use them, proper loading and unloading, the difference between clips and magazines, how to load the magazine, properly operating the firearm, how to hold it, how to stand when shooting, properly aiming and firing your firearm, proper shot placement, how to present your weapon from the holster safely and return it to the holster, as well as terms and definitions of "gun language". There will be ample time set aside for Q&A. We will also work individually with attendees. By the end of this session you will find yourself much more comfortable handling your firearm.
Session 2: 12:00-3:00pm
The afternoon session will focus more on presenting your weapon from the holster and shooting techniques. Attendees will engage targets from various distances from 3,5,7,10 yards. Techniques to improve marksmanship will be discussed and demonstrated. Engaging multiple assailants as well as hostage type scenarios will be discussed and demonstrated. Identifying malfunctions and clearing them will be explained. We will work with each shooter to identify and correct any problems you are having working with your firearm.

It's a good idea to bring some water and a snack if you're staying for both sessions. Also, there is little to no seating at this range so if you have a folding chair, bring it. If you need any equipment, including a firearm, let me know. I can provide equipment at no additional cost.
