Announcing a new Meetup for Vancouver Android Developers!

What: Lightning talks Android Meetup

When: Tuesday, December 7,[masked]:30 PM

Where: Wavefront
1055 W Hastings St Conference Room - Lower Level
Vancouver, BC V6E 2E9

Android space is heating up. Let's kick off a more regular schedule of Android meetups by doing a 'lightning talks' session.

We will kick off with a preview of a tool that will help you with your Android fragmentation issues. Wavefront has a tool that help you run automated test scripts testing your mobile app across multiple Android phones. You can comfortably access this tool via your browser and in the comfort of your own home or office. Wavefront can even help you generate these test scripts if you are new to this.

And then, attendees who are interested can present 'lightning talks' for 5-10 minutes on various topics related to Android. This format is quite flexible, dynamic and can cover lots of interesting topics - and best of all requires minimal advance preparation for those speaking.

Please email [address removed] if you would like to do a quick lightning talk and provide 1-2 lines on what your topic suggestion is.

Also, did people want appies + drinks? I can help coordinate please answer that question when you register.

Lightning Topic Suggestion #1:
Campbell MacDonald from Coal Harbour Group has two Android apps out there (Parking Mobility and Not While Driving) and would like to have a discussion about the business side of the Android Market (discovery, search, ease of use, results, etc).
