Holiday Party!!! The Ultimate Meetup of Meetups!

It's been a while since the last Vancouver Entrepreneur Meetup but that's only because of the scheming and planning it takes to bring to you The Ultimate Meetup of the year!  It's the annual Meetup of all Meetups with 8 other meetups!

This is the 4th Annual Meetup of all Meetups that we are associated with here in Vancouver.

We have joined forces with the likes of the

  • Third Tuesday Meetup
  • Vancouver Blogger's Meetup
  • Vancouver Entrepreneur Meetup Group
  • Real Estate Technology Meetup the
  • Vancouver Sales Performance Meetup
  • Socialized Lunch Meetup, the
  • Social Media Club Vancouver Meetup and the
  • Young Professionals Meetup
  • ByzHub Meetup
  • Vancouver Wordpress Meetup

for one big year end social mixer. We have several other Meetup's involved and as we confirm their involvement they will be added to the list. Many of these Meetups share the same members and same goals; to help people connect, share best practices and create community.

We expect 400 + people to attend and would appreciate your RSVP asap. This is an opportunity to expand your network, connect, and have fun in a casual atmosphere.

6:00 pm Arrive, register and get your Meetup Badge

6:30 pm 5 minute welcome and thanks to the sponsors

6:35 pm til late: Positive community building and networking anarchy! Have fun

8:00 pm twitpic of the night award.

*** If you're a member of multiple meetups you will get more than one invite. Simply RSVP yes for one***

Important Notes: If you're going to drink please arrange a drive home with a designated driver or taxi.

Drinking and twittering or updating FaceBook should be done while seated or leaning against a bar to avoid shaky photo syndrome. Photos will be taken at the event and posted on flickr and Facebook so we would strongly suggest not wearing any lampshades on your head etc. unless that is part of your online branding strategy.

Poor! Over crowded and I was surprised that very few people brought anything for the food bank.

It was too crowded, but glad to meet those that I managed to talk (almost lost my voice). Thanks for arranging the event.

2/5. reminded me of going to a jam packed sweaty club. I would have had fun at 21 but not anymore! 150 people MAX would have made this a way better event.

Small place for too many people.

Managed to meet a few engaging individuals, despite the insane throng of people crowded into the back of a pub.

A really great venue to host the event. Parking was easy and accessible. A very interesting place that I bet is going to be a hot spot in the summer time!

Too many people jammed into too small a space. Better planning required next time.
I left within 15 minutes of arriving.

Wow! A bit tough to network. In the slightly more quiet part of the bar I met several very interesting people! Good Fun!

The event wasn't bad. I wouldn't say it was good though. Good mix of people but the venue was WAY to small and not conducive to meeting new people in a comfortable way.

Party atmosphere: 5/5; Networking: 2/5. There were 350 people crammed into a small pub, this is great for a party but not effective for networking and really getting to know any one person. The sheer volume of the crowd made it impossible to hear anybody and simply handing out a business card without an opportunity to discuss your offering is NOT what networking is about. Despite that, I met four people who I was able to connect with (by shouting really loud) and I look forward to following up with them. A larger venue would have made all the difference in the world.
