What we're about

I started this group as I think it is an ideal activity for my daughter Emma (now 5). She doesn't seem to get tired of the outdoors. She is intrigued with everything that passes by on a hike: trees, roots, rocks, streams, mushrooms, birds, dogs, and other hikers. I think there are other parents that think the same. We will all enjoy hiking more when we do them together.

The age group for the kids fall within 3 year to 5 year old age range. Baby-friendly dogs will also be allowed to attend specific events.

Children tire quickly of vehicles so we hike local trails located within 100Km from Vancouver with the exception for overnights. Examples for the day hike trails:

- Pitt Wildlife Loop (http://www.livetrails.com/trails/Pitt-Wildlife-Loop-165.html)

- Minnekhada Regional Park (http://www.livetrails.com/trails/Minnekhada-Regional-Park-164.html)
