Welcome to the New Haven Vegan Meetup and a few questions

From: Ben M.

Hi all.
Since it seems some new people have joined in the last few weeks, I wanted to send out a email to welcome you.  Please RSVP for the meetup this Sunday if you are available.

Also I had a couple questions to the group:
1) I received an email proposing a foie gras protest in New Haven, let me know if you are interested in the following:
"Please let me know if you are interested in participating in a foie gras protest at the Union League Cafe on Chapel Street in New Haven at either or both of the following times.
Mothers Day - Sunday, May 13,  1:00 - 3:00
Yale Commencement - Sunday, May 20, 5:00 - 7:00

2) I also got a message about a rally against the Citizens United ruling this week.  Although not specifically vegan related  I certainly support limiting corporate influence and see overlap with the issues of saving animals and healthy food.  However I  would like to get the pulse of the group before I start to send these types of things to everyone.  So if you don't think the below kind of thing is appropriate for the vegan mailing list let me know:
"Come to a rally outside City Hall, 165 Church Street, this coming Wednesday, May 9, at 5:45pm, to protest the infamous Citizens United Supreme Court decision that advances the notion that Corporations are entitled to the rights and protections that the constitution grants to real people."

See ya soon,
Ben Martin
