Let's get together and swap Christmas cookies! I'm a firm believer in cookie advocacy! Giving vegan cookies as holiday presents shows those on your gift list how delicious cruelty-free treats can be. Cookie swaps allow you to give a wide variety of treats while cutting down on time spent in the kitchen.

Please bake about 4 dozen vegan cookies to share. (No butter, eggs, milk, cream, honey, etc.) We'll be snacking on a few cookies and then everyone will taking several of each type home with them. Bring a container to take cookies home in and a printout of the recipe you made with you. I will provide tea for everyone. There will also be savory snacks to enjoy as well. This will be a day to relax, chat and unwind from holiday stress.

Please state what type of cookie you are brining so we don't end up with 10 types of gingerbread cookie. If you have time, please send your recipe to me ( beforehand. I would like to put together a booklet with all of the recipes to give to all of the attendees.

The cookie swap will take place from 2:00 - 5:00 pm at Dianne's and Dennis's house in West Orange. The address will be emailed to attendees a day or two beforehand. People with allergies should know that Dianne and Dennis have 3 cats. While children are welcome, the house is not "kid-proof" so please keep an eye on your little ones if you bring them with you.

Montclair Vegans events are a safe haven for vegans. Everyone is welcome, but if you are not vegan, please know that debating veganism is not allowed at our events. Conversely, vegans should not lecture omnivores on what they should or shouldn't be eating. Our events should be fun for everyone. Also be aware that while everyone is welcome at our potlucks, all food must be vegan, which means no meat, cheese, milk, eggs or honey.

Please don't RSVP unless you are serious about attending. If you something comes up and can no longer attend, remember to change your rsvp to "no".
