Aloha vegan, vegan-inclined and vegan-curious folks,
I have a few announcements
The Oahu Vegan Meetup has a new domain name!
Actually, we have three. Our main one is VeganOahu.org and VeganOahu.com, VeganOahu.info and Meetup.com/veganoahu all redirect to it. So now you can tell potential new members of the group to go to VeganOahu.org to find us.
Does anyone have Adobe® Photoshop?
If so, would you be willing to create some images for the Oahu Vegan Meetup? I would like simple designs with our group's name, the Meetup logo and our new website address to put on T-shirts and Tote bags and a design of just our website address for bumper stickers. I've tried using online image editors, but encountered problems. I have a Groupon for $60 worth of products from VistaPrint that expires in early January and I'd like to order these items from them before then for those that request them. VistaPrint recommends uploading a photoshop file. You can find the upload specifications for their T-shirts here, tote bags here, and bumper stickers here.
Guest List Policies Created
I created two guest list policies, listed here. The first is to make it clear to members that event hosts may record them as a no show if they RSVP as "attending" but don't. The second is a policy that repeated no shows may be bumped to the waiting list for events with an attendee limit and people on the waiting list. The intention of these policies is not to punish no shows, just to reinforce the importance of showing up to events one has RSVPd for as "attending" and make it easier for those more likely to show up to an event to get on the guest list for it. Scroll to the bottom of your profile and click "View attendance history" to see if you have been recorded as a no show for a past event. You can get to your profile by scrolling over "Members" in the top navigation bar and clicking "My profile." If you believe you have been recorded as a no show for an event by mistake, please email the host to explain why and ask them to change it.
