really enjoyed the talk. i was most impressed by the answer she gave to the man who asked something like -- if this lifestyle is so good and can so change things for the better, why don't more people do it? instead of attempting to answer that sort of gotcha type question, she focused on the person who might question the results of this lifestyle. she spoke like the family practice doc she came across as -- one who sits down and spends time with her patients to get the bigger health picture -- to find out more about the person first. then her approach of trying to get the person to just make one change to see for themselves how a change can make a difference is the best solution for any one who questions her approach.

I loved it! I love that she provided insight into topics besides the benefits of being vegan. I am so glad I went!

Anyone interested, this week's Rich Roll podcast fits right into this theme very well. It features Integrative Cardiologist Joel Kahn, M.D. and is titled: How a Plant-Based Diet Can Prevent & Reverse Heart Disease. Here is a link:

I have been going to the Cleveland Animal Rights Alliance programs for the past couple of years, and they are really great - especially when they have their potlucks.
