300 Vegans 4 Cleveland St. Patrick's Day Parade March

Hey CLE Vegans!  ARE YOU READY TO MAKE HISTORY by joining in the biggest, happiest, group of vegans in a parade this town has ever seen?!

On Monday, March 17, 2014:

We will march together as ONE VISUALLY UNIFIED VEGAN display in Cleveland's 147th Saint Patrick’s Day Parade!

We will march together to raise awareness of the vegan social justice movement!

We will march together to connect others to our community of individuals who care about people, our planet and the animals!

This is not a protest, 300 Vegans 4 Cleveland Saint Patrick’s Day Parade is our unique opportunity to present our message of peace and love to hundreds of thousands of people and connect with other CLE Vegans! If you are vegan and Irish, even better!!

VEGAN

Compassion.

Nonviolence.

For the People.

For the Planet.

For the Animals.

Check out these photos of the past two 300 Vegans events in Columbus, Ohio.

We encourage previous 300 Vegans Columbus parade participants to comment on their experience, so first-timers will get a feel for just how great this event really is!

All vegan parade marchers will wear the Nonviolence United t-shirt as shown in the event photo to present a unified image. We will carry banners bearing the same message. We encourage everyone to wear your St. Patrick's Day best &/or craziest accessories! Beads, hats, face paint, glitter and bling... whatever...it's all about having fun while celebrating the unity of our vegan community!  Bring a fun poster showing your love as an Irish Loving Vegan!!!! Kiss me, I'm Irish Vegan!!!  Irish Vegans have more fun!!!

The T-Shirt is our Uniform to show Solidarity and Uniformity! Not any vegan T-shirt will do for this parade, as we are showing and demonstrating our pride and our strength with the message that the T-shirt has!!!

Be sure to order your t-shirt early from this site:

http://www.nonviolenceunited.org/300vegans

We will update the weather as we get accurate forecasts closer to parade day, but three of the last 4 years saw the temperature on St. Patrick's Day above 50, and once above 70. But keep those long johns out and be ready to layer-up, just in case! (You may want to order a size larger to ensure you can actually layer up under the VEGAN shirt).

Rules of the Road:

http://www.stpatricksdaycleveland.com/p/rules-and-regulations.html?m=0

We ask that you are sober at least until after we march in the parade as we want to put our best foot forward and be sure we are allowed to return for future events. The best response to any hecklers or those who may be shouting BACON at us (it happened in Columbus) is to make the vegan/peace sign and shout VEGAN back at them with a giant smile! This is about having fun and a little friendly competition is easily negotiable :-).

Be ready to start your day off bright and early, as we prepare for the parade! We will meet at the Hilton Garden Inn for registration, t-shirt distribution, photo shoot, food and fun!
