Newly-formed nonprofit promoting healthy and eco-conscious lifestyle
raises funds for inaugural Cleveland VegFest
The Cleveland Vegan Society will celebrate its first annual Cleveland VegGala on Sunday, October 14, 2012, at Brennan’s Party Center, 13000 Triskett Road in Cleveland. The event will take place from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Cleveland, OH (September 30, 2012) - At the Cleveland VegGala, more than 20 restaurants, bakeries, caterers, and stores will be offering heavy hors d’oeuvres-sized samples of their delicious vegan fare (including gluten-free and oil-free options). In addition to enjoying healthful yet decadent food and live music, guests at the event may bid on items in our huge cruelty-free silent auction and buy tickets for raffle prizes. Cleveland television news reporter and local vegan celebrity, Emily Valdez, will be emceeing the auction. Popular auction items and prizes include gift certificates and baskets of vegan-friendly goods donated by local businesses and institutions.
Tickets to the Cleveland VegGala are $35 in advance or $45 at the door.
Proceeds from the VegGala will be used to fund the first-ever Cleveland VegFest, to be held June 1, 2013 at Cleveland State University. The VegFest will be a full day event with nationally-known experts speaking on the many benefits of a vegan diet and lifestyle, film screenings, food demos, food samples and vegan-friendly local businesses and organizations as exhibitors.
