Today, we'll hike around Callville Bay in Lake Mead. This is a very interesting place, with a colorful history. There's a good chance we'll see Desert Bighorn Sheep, and I can guarantee you'll see sea shells. We'll have lunch in an inlet on the shores of Lake Mead. So, join us for a fun hike, with great views of Lake Mead.
For those of you who live on the southeast side of town, you can meet us at Callville Bay turnoff along the North Shore Road. Follow the road to the very end. Meet us in the very large parking lot by the store. We should be there about 10:30. Let me know if that's where you'll meet us.
Hike will be 5 miles long, with 500' of gain. Pace will be moderate, and there will be no scrambling.
Bring 1 quart of liquid, and lunch.
Don't forget your windbreaker, camera, and sense of adventure.
