Victoria Moran (Brilliant Author of Main Street Vegan) Speaking at 92nd Street Y

Our dear friend Victoria Moran, the nationally famous and brilliant author of Main Street Vegan, who is also a member of our NYC Vegetarian & Vegan Meetup group, is giving a talk at the 92nd Street Y. The title of the talk is "Plant Power". Here is the description of the talk:

"There’s a formula for getting the glow, making peace with food and weight, and living long without growing old. Main Street Vegan author Victoria Moran will share that formula: Nourish your body with fresh, colorful foods from the plant kingdom, and nourish your soul with bright ideas and plenty of self-care. In this upbeat and informative presentation, you'll learn to love yourself and honor every being who shares this planet with you, detox your body and mind, and discover more of your own beauty, vitality, and purpose."

Victoria's Bio: Victoria Moran is a vegan of 30 years and the Oprah-featured author of eleven books, including her latest, Main Street Vegan: Everything You Need to Know to Eat Healthfully and Live Compassionately in the Real World. It’s garnered praise from Russell Simmons, Moby, and Bill Clinton, and VegNews calls it ‘the vegan Bible.’ Victoria hosts the weekly Main Street Vegan show on Unity.fm and she is the founder and director of Main Street Vegan Academy, training and certifying Vegan Lifestyle Coaches. Find Victoria online at www.mainstreetvegan.net, and in NYC in the LEED-certified ‘green’ condo in Harlem she shares with her husband, William, and their rescue-dog, Forbes.

Tickets are $22.00 (plus a $3.75 service fee) and are available from the 92nd Street Y here:

http://www.92y.org/Event/Plant-Power.aspx

You must purchase your own ticket in order to attend.  It is not enough simply to RSVP on this page.

I just purchased my full-priced ticket.  It is well worth it to hear and see this brilliant author and national vegan spokesperson -- who has an inexhaustible supply of extremely helpful advice on how to take full advantage of vegan living.

Where to Meet: (This is optional.) If you'd like to meet other members of the meetup group and sit together at the talk, we will be meeting directly in front of the 92nd Street Y from 6:30pm to 6:45pm. I, David Greene, am 6'4" and will be holding a sign that says "MEETUP". Don't be late! At 6:45pm we'll all go inside together. Seating is General Admission, so we'll all be able to sit together. And after the talk, those who wish to can grab a late dinner and discuss the talk.

Train Directions: Take the 6 Train to 96th Street (and Lexington Ave.) or the 4, 5 or 6 Trains to 86th Street (and Lexington Ave.)

I am so looking forward to what I am sure will be a brilliant and very helpful presentation by Victoria. Hope to see you there!

Unfortunately, I cannot make it tonight. Please let me know if you'd like to use my ticket. (Free!) I live on the UES so you can pick the ticket up en route to the Y...
