FROM PT REYES RANCHER TO VEGAN ACTIVIST: MEET DAVE OSBORN, WED. APRIL 10 AT 6 PM
Dave Osborn is owner of Black Mountain Ranch at Pt Reyes Station, pictured above. On Wed. April 10 at 6 pm, meet Dave in person. Hear the inspiring story of how he became a vegan and the impact that has had upon his life and upon the Pt Reyes community.
Dave has become an activist for veganism. He is working with local ranchers to encourage them also to transition to a vegan lifestyle. Listen to his real-life stories of what it is like being on the front lines of the vegan movement in historic Pt Reyes Station, the issues, the challenges, and success stories!
Black Mountain Ranch itself is in transition, and now is home to a number of organic farms including Table Top Farm, Little Wing Farm and an heirloom seed company.
Be inspired and motivated by this vegan success story in one of the beauty spots of the SF Bay Area. And discover the challenges, and the what works, in bringing about change, from someone front and center in making it happen, right here locally.
First, enjoy a full-course vegan dinner planned by a certified nutritionist, Patricia Allen Koot, NE, NC. All vegan. All health-supporting. All you care to eat! Be sure to bring a container so you can take some home with you.
Location is the Opera Plaza Community Room, 601 Van Ness, San Francisco. Take the elevator to the mezzanine, then follow the signs down the hall to the right.
A fifteen dollar requested donation covers the full-course vegan dinner plus the talk. The nutritionist, and the presenter, are donating their time to benefit the community. Funds go toward facility rental, food, transport and other costs.
