Announcing a new Meetup for VegOut NYC!

What: Queer Negation Tour and Tiengarden vegan restaurant

When: Tuesday, November 16,[masked]:00 PM

Price: $5.00 per person

Where: Bluestockings Bookstore & Cafe
175 Allen St (Between Stanton and Rivington)
New York, NY 10002

Hi VegOutters!

This event just came to my attention.

Act Up, Queer Nation and Pink Panthers ring a bell?

Next Tuesday at Bluestockings bookstore is a presentation called: Attack, Trash, Glass ?Queer Negation Tour.? Twenty years ago ?Queers Read This? was published and inspired community action in the face to the AIDS epidemic. In 2007, Bash Back emerged as a renewed force for direct action by queer activists. Join folks from the Queer Negation Tour for a presentation about the strengths (and failures) of the past and a discussion about strategies for the future.

You can read Queers Read This here

More about Bluestockings can be found here.

After we've been fired up we can go next door to calm down at Tiengarden vegan restaurant for some steamed burdock dumplings or a great bowl of soup. Check out their menu here.

We have a lot of reasons to be interested in justice movements today. Wether you're coming from an LGBT or animal rights or vegan outreach angle - this is all one big social justice soup.

Bluestockings suggests a $5 donation.
