It has been brought to my attention that some people are reluctant due to the start time. This is not a rigid format event, we are fine with you showing up later in the day, or leaving early.
We can always adjust the number of ships to accommodate the situation, we can run ships with a smaller crew or even solo if you're up for the challenge. It's a great exercise for understanding the responsibilities of each station.
This is an Unofficial gaming event!
Here is my number in case anybody needs to contact me for any reason: [masked]-6867.
This will be our 2nd flight. Our first flight we ran 1 ship & it was loads of fun. It takes 6 people to run one ship. We hope to have 2 or 3 ships this time.
Bring your notebook or desktop PC. Also bring an ethernet cable if you can. I'll try to have spare computers for people to use in case they need them.
Please bring food & drinks to share with other people.
I will email the people that RSVP'ed my address a few days before the event.
This a shared event with another meetup group & is also being advertised as a Facebook Event.
Artemis is a multiplayer, multi-computer networked game for Windows computers.
Artemis simulates a spaceship bridge by networking several computers together. One computer runs the simulation and the “main screen”, while the others serve as workstations for the normal jobs a bridge officer might do, like Helm, Communication, Engineering, and Weapon Control. Artemis is a social game where several players are together in one room (“bridge”) , and while they all work together, one player plays the Captain, a person who sits in the middle, doesn’t have a workstation, and tells everyone what to do.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
