Announcing a new Meetup for Virginia - Stop Modern Slavery (VASMS)!

What: Webinar Event by Survivors Connect

When: Friday, November 19,[masked]:00 PM

Where: (A location has not been chosen yet.)

Survivors Connect is a collaborative organization working to build advocacy & support networks of survivors and activists ending modern-day slavery and human trafficking. "We use new media and connective technologies to empower networks and enhance protection, prosecution and prevention efforts."

Abolition Classroom is an effort to make timely and critical information, lectures, and trainings on anti-trafficking more available/accessible via the web. Using user-friendly web conferencing software, we are organizing a series of events which cover an array of topics. Some of the web-events will be fee based and others will be free.

The first event is on Friday, Nov 19th, titled "A Model for Healing: A Survivor's Story, Healing Strategies and Next Steps" from 1-3pm EST/10-12pm PST. Our friend and supporter, Minh Dang will conduct the session online. There is a $10 fee for the talk and you can register to attend/learn more here:

I hope that you will attend as well as share this with your friends, family, colleagues and networks. There are easy Facebook, twitter and other network sharing buttons on the site. We hope to "see" you there!
