Ear Training, Interpretation and Follow the Director

This meet up has filled.

Please get on the waiting list for Round 2 coming shortly!

It is much more than just words on a piece of paper. It is the opportunity to have your client's message heard. You need to be sure those words hit home. Learn to find the message behind the message, recognize the "call to action" and make the MOST of each sentence. Whether it is retail, narrative or character based, there is a preferred delivery by every copywriter.

Each attendee will have the opportunity to "think out loud" as they deconstruct their script and discuss their findings. Then, we'll hit the mic and lay it down. All recorded audio including additional direction will be delivered within days after the Meet Up. [b]PLUS! A special bonus! @ excellent hand-outs PLUS one lucky attendee will win a copy of SOUND ADVICE: Voice Over from an Audio Engineer's Perspective by Dan Friedman!!!

Cliff, For my first meeting, this was excellent! Great feedback, direction and comments from you and Brad, and of course it helps to have the expertise in the engineering department - making us sound as good as possible. Thank you Schrec. With such a great group and generous and talented director, Cliff, I'm certainly looking forward to the next get together!

I have attended several meetups with the DVA Group and have enjoyed every one. They are informative and anything but dull. This one on ear training and interpretation was very educational for me. I learned several different things that will help me improve.

A little late on the review, but I have to say, it was awesome! Great dual direction from Cliff bad Brad; very creative and helpful! And, as always, love to spend time around such talented people.

This was a really fun and informative meetup. Having both Brad and Cliff's direction was very useful. Everyone's performance was really great. The one liners were a great exercise to train ourselves to hear and see how different ways in reading a line can change the meaning of it. Coming out of there, I know what I need to work on to improve. Thanks for the great night everybody.

Great session, as always! Reading the "1-liners" was a good exercise, you can see and feel your progress (and stumbling blocks) right away. Brad was a great co-coach, managing to fill in with some good comments, suggestions, and "tricks of the trade" without stepping on Cliff's instruction. Thanks to you both! (and to Schrec, of course, for engineering-while-exhausted!)

I hope something so awesome happens to someone who made "the 12" they cancel, so I can attend ;-)
