Beach V-ball at Will Rogers State Beach

Saturday, Sept 17h, starting at 9:30 AM to ?

Hello Fellow Spikers,

I'm scheduling our next V-ball outing at Will Rogers State Beach

today starting at 9:30 AM in the morning.  NOTE: No outdoor V-ball at Victory Park this

Location is opposite where Temescal Canyon Rd. meets PCH.  All day parking is $12.

If you come early there may be free street parking on Temescal Canyon Rd.

We played there back in June and the location works out very well -

plenty of parking, not too crowded, and snack bar and restrooms located nearby.

If any of you have beach V-ball boundaries, please bring them along. Would also

recommend bringing/wearing sand socks in case the temperature of the sand gets hot.

Let's also plan to potluck and bring food, snacks, desserts, and drinks to munch on.

If some of you can bring coolers with ice and beach umbrellas for shade that would be

Let's have the first group of folks try to get down to the sand courts around 9:30 AM

so that we can hold at least 2 of them as there are just couple of nets in this area

of the beach.  And, if we can arrange carpooling that would greatly help in regards

to taking less cars.

Directions to Will Rogers Beach:

1. Take the 10 (Santa Monica) Freeway west from Downtown LA

2. You'll go through Santa Monica and the 10 Freeway will become Pacific Coast Hwy (SR 1)

3. You'll see Santa Monica Beach on your LHS 4. Will Rogers Beach begins right around where Chautauqua meets PCH and ends where Sunset meets PCH

5. At the intersection of PCH and Temescal Canyon Rd., turn left into the Will Rogers Beach parking lot

Please make sure to RSVP for this event so that I can get an accurate headcount of

who will be attending. And, if you can indicate the time that you plan to arrive that

would be great for planning purposes.

Hope to see you out there,
