Please tells us a little about yourself.

I thought I was becoming jaded about social change and New York City specifically. The Obama campaign and everyone I've met have given me a new lease on life here!

What issues are important to you?

Community, sustainable development and organic/locally grown food. Health care. Arts, culture and media advocacy.

Are you currently supporting any political candidate or a cause?

Employment: supporting job seekers and creating a mutual aid society for citizens to share meals, barter goods and services. I started WORK LIFE BALANCE inspired by Michelle Obama's interest in that issue and obviously, to help folks find work.

A year later. Seems like a fever dream. I am so moved and excited to go to the Inauguration! I'll be in the mosh pit but I'm going to be in great company!

What Amala is saying about this Meetup Group
