Meet 8:30am at Cambridge rail station for the 8:47am train or at Diss Rail Station at 10:07am (IP22 4HN).
This circular walk sets off from the town of Diss. We head for the village of Scole and its dragon (yes, dragon!) by the River Waveney. Then its along various country paths till we arrive at the remains of Eye's 11th Century Norman Castle. On its high mound, we can 'eye' the local countryside and then stop at the village pub. Next it's towards Yaxley and it's 12th Century church and historic manor house. We then head back towards Diss via Judas Lane and The Marsh before crossing the River Waveney again into Diss and getting the train back to Cambridge.
