• Art Tour at the Gladstone Hotel

    Gladstone Hotel

    We will get an insider's tour of the art in this lovely vintage hotel. We'll tour the inside and view the public art displays then we'll go outside and view interesting street art and murals in the area. If possible they MAY show us inside some of the hotel rooms. If time permits we will also walk to the nearby Drake hotel to view some of their public art as well as interesting shops along the way. This tour has a strict limit of 15 People, you MUST be on the RSVP list to attend and we WILL check attendance, NO last minute walk-ins or guests allowed. Please only sign up if you are CERTAIN to attend. If you sign up and don't show up I will send you a nasty email. You must show up on time as the tour starts promptly at 11am !!!!! Meet INSIDE the hotel in the Melody Bar which is to the right of the lobby. Richard will be holding a meetup sign. TTC directions: The Dufferin 29 south bus stops close to the hotel or the Queen 501 westbound streetcar stops right in front. While this tour is free we hope you will consider making a $2 donation as we give this money to the Scott Mission, these good folks provide food and shelter for the homeless.

  • Distillery District & St Lawrence Market Festival

    King Subway Station

    We will take a nice walk to the Distillery District to view some art galleries and interesting shops then go to the St. Lawrence Market festival where there will be food and entertainment and you can have a great lunch. We will meet INSIDE King subway where you pay your fare, Richard will be holding a meetup sign. The event will be approximately 4 hours long.   • Art Walk to Chinese Festival

    We will take a nice walk to view some outdoor art on our way to the Chinese festival happening in front of City Hall. We will first meet inside St. Patrick subway station then take a walk to Grange Park to see interesting street art, sculptures, murals, art galleries and buildings in the area. Then we'll loop back to City Hall where they're having a festival featuring Chinese entertainment and food. Check it out at: www.dragonfestival.ca There is a $2 Meetup fee for this event.

  • Potluck Picnic in High Park

    We're having a potluck picnic in High Park ! Bring something to drink and eat to share with everyone else. List what you're bringing below. Please don't bring any junk food as no one eats it, bring fresh food. We are meeting close to the park entrance. Enter from the main entrance on Bloor street, turn right, we are at the picnic tables near the snack bar, look for the blue umbrella. Felice is wearing a red hat. Any problems finding us post a note below. The park is located across the street from the High Park subway station. Some seating is provided on picnic tables but I suggest you BRING A CHAIR or a towel to sit on. So to recap this is what you need to bring: food, drink, chair Please arrive on time otherwise all the good stuff is taken early. This is a cooperative event with my other meetup group.

  • Queen's Park Inside and Outside Tour

    We'll be touring inside and outside Ontario's parliament buildings. We'll first be given a guided tour inside the building by a tour guide then Richard will show you points of interest outside the building. Please be on time! We're taking the 2pm tour and we need 10 people to show up if you're not on time or don't show up this will mess up the whole group so HONOUR your RSVP. This tour is free.

  • Food and History Walk

    We'll be going on a history of food & dining walk in Toronto led by the Heritage Society. Explore Toronto’s food history, from the early rustic taverns of Muddy York to the foundations of baking empires, and from opulent department store restaurants to 24-hour diners. Learn how these diverse and iconic locations contributed to the food haven that is Toronto today. This walk is free but they do ask that you give a donation.   • Art Walk to Chinatown Festival



    We will take a nice walk to view some outdoor art on our way to the Chinatown festival. We will first meet inside Osgoode subway then take a walk to Grange Park to see interesting street art, sculptures, murals, art galleries and buildings in the area. Then we'll walk to Chinatown where they're having a festival featuring entertainment and food. Meet around 10.00 am to 10.30 am. Leave time. 10.30 am There is a $2 Meetup fee for this event.

  • Food Truck Festival & Farmer's Market

    Coxwell Station

    We're going to a farmer's market and a food truck festival so this is a great foodies walk! First we'll meet inside Coxwell subway then we'll take the bus to the Leslieville farmer's market where you can buy fresh produce and baked goods. Then we'll take a short walk to the Food Truck festival where there will be a ton of foods trucks so you can get yourself a nice lunch. Come hungry and bring cash.

  • Humber River Walk & Theatre Play

    Old Mill Station

    We will go on an interesting walk that involves an outdoor theatre. We will first meet at Old Mill subway station then walk around the corner to meet the rest of the group at Etienne Brule Park south entrance. Please be on time as we need to walk to the park as the play starts at noon. From there we will walk around the Humber River to several locations where there will be six theatrical plays sharing the history of Indigenous, Francophone and Newcomer peoples of the Humber River region. There are no seats at these performances and you sit outside on the grass. This event is free.   • Art Show and Walk

    We're going on a art walk to view interesting murals, sculptures, street stories in the downtown core then we'll go to the Toronto Outdoor Art Fair which is a huge art show held in front of city hall. You can buy art and talk to the artists. We'll first meet INSIDE Queen's Park subway at the entrance where you pay your fare at 10:15am then there will be a few announcements and we'll leave at 10:30am sharp.
