Northwest Hiking Weekend - Traditional Volkswalks at Snoqualmie Pass


4 Hikes for you on the NW Hiking Weekend presented by the Four Plus Foolhardy Volkssport Club. These are challenging hikes varying from 10K to 18K and ratings of 2D-5D.   Visit the website for the hike descriptions.  Hikes include:  Granite Mountain Trail, Mason Lake/Mount Defiance Trail, Snow Lake Trail and  Kendall Katwalk Trail.  Each day you must complete walking by 6:00pm.

Credit is $3.00.  Free walkers are welcome but all must register and carry a start card. Donations are appreciated to support Volkssport in Washington.

Pets are welcome but not in buildings.

These are challenging remote hikes.  Carry water and supplies.

    Many thanks to Four+ Foolhardy folks--wonderful, wonderful walks--definitely bear repeating when there is less snow, although the mountains in snow couldn't have been more beautiful.

    Thank you Four Plus for hosting these events. I was able to get all 4 hikes in. Kendall Katwalk on Friday with its 2 feet of snow near the Katwalk. Saturday I hiked both Snow Lake and Granite Mountain. Today was Mason Lake, the only hike that I didn't have to put my mirco spikes on. Weather and views were perfect.
