The emphasis of this meetup is on Walking Meditation (WM) which is a dynamic, awareness (mindfulness) based meditation which can heal and transform your life. This form of meditation helps us let go of the past and re-trains the brain to relax and reside in the present moment. It is only when we are in the present moment that we can tap into Universal energy, wisdom and the joy of our highest consciousness. We walk "some place" every day. Yet very few people understand the benefits and miracle contained in walking when combined with the meditative practice.
Walking Meditation (WM) is a simple, enjoyable and cost effective way to calm the mind and strengthen the body at the deepest, most fundamental levels. It can bring the the yin and yang energies, along with the mind, body and spirit into balance and harmony. As this practice retrains the brain to reside in the present we are able to handle life's ups and downs more easily and become more resilient. We can get back to our "center" much faster and with less residual negativity.
WM is utterly practical, natural, and profoundly simple yet many secrets and mysteries are embedded in this practice. However, it is only through continued practice that you will discover them for yourselves.
