***THIS HIKE IS NOW ON SUNDAY, MARCH 28. I didn't realize there was a race on Antelope Island on Saturday.***

Cost: We will carpool onto the island because there is a $9 fee per car. So, please bring a few dollar bills as we will need to share this fee to get onto the island.

We'll meet: in the parking lot (on the left) before the fee booth to the Island. Look for a white mitsubishi galant or green jeep.

When: We'll LEAVE BY 10:10AM SHARP! :)

Distance: 7 miles ROUNDTRIP! Make sure you can do 7 miles with elevation change!

Difficulty:Moderate-Strenuous. This is a moderate climb to the peak. It's a 2050 feet elevation gain in 3.5 miles. This is twice as difficult as Big Water/Little Water Trail.

Pace: We will go at a brisk pace. If you are just starting out hiking, you probably should wait for this one.

Approximate Time: I anticipate this hike to take about 5-6 hours. But, it totally depends on our group. So, this is an estimate!

Bring:
WATER! I am bringing at least 64 ounces for myself.
Layers... it might be chilly.

NO DOGS ARE ALLOWED ON THIS TRAIL!

What will we do after? Of course, no hard hike can be done without a nice meal and beverages after with a great group of people! So, we will head to Maccool's Public House.
Directions from Antelope State Park to Maccool's Public House (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=4528+W+1700+S,+Syracuse,+UT+84075-6861+(Antelope+Island+State+Park+Entrance+Station)&daddr=855+Heritage+Park+Blvd,+Layton,+UT&geocode=FdH4cgId-C1R-SELDaDpW45xRg%3BFS7jcgId10hT-Q&view=map&gl=us&hl=en&mra=pe&mrcr=0&sll=41.02156,-112.116023&sspn=0.271458,0.617294&ie=UTF8&ll=41.089185,-111.984415&spn=0.033897,0.077162&t=h&z=14)
