Cruise Wahweap to Reflection Canyon - Small Houseboat

This is not a for profit experience or commercial venture. I am arranging this with my brother-in-law who owns a small houseboat at Lake Powell. This is a group of friends doing an adventure together. We are charging $400 pp to cover boat, fuel, and transportation costs.

The plan is to have 10 of us on the boat. We will sleep under the stars on mats and sleeping bags we bring ourselves. There may be an option to sleep on land. Some details need to be worked out still. We will be going to a part of the lake that likely none of us have been before. We have added a day to the original plan to allow for potential options we may find (like exploring a canyon on the way).

Also Very Important:
1. This is for adults 21+
2. This is not a drinking cruise. Those who choose may bring drinks to drink responsibly and always in control. Allowing one to get drunk or out of control in any way will not be tolerated.
3. This boat is too small to accommodate pets, service animals, wheelchairs, or those with mobility restrictions.

Cruise To Wahweap 7am - 10am

Group meal options will be added later.

Price includes transportation on the houseboat, use of some items on the houseboat, and group transportation via canoes.

Price does not include meals, drinks, nor transportation to (or from) Wahweap by land.

It is important that we all understand that this is not a new houseboat. We are going in good faith. It is possible that issues could arise due to mechanical issues, weather, or other out of our control issues that could effect the trip. If changes need to be made, we will make it a fun trip because we will be a group of fun friends that will make the best of any situation. If we for any reason do not make it to reflection canyon, we will get where we get and any funds not spent in getting us home safe will be refunded. However, the amount would be determined by how much gas we didn't use on the trip.

My brother-in-law Brian says/asks the following:

The houseboat should be ready to go with it coming out of service before the trip.

My hope is the guests would agree to be kind, respectful, helpful and grateful and understanding of possible changes or limitations and
understand that my decisions about the equipment, safety, routing, consequences for bad behavior etc. would be weighed with
your consultation, but I need final and ultimate authority.

Back to my words (Bill):
If there is bad behavior, my vote is we throw you off the boat (walk the plank). Maybe if you are good we will throw you off the boat too. I hope my sense of humor (or lack there of) is more appreciated than annoys.

It is possible that another group (with this meetup group) may hike to Reflection Canyon and rendezvous with us. If that becomes a reality, you should see the event posted here.
