Elton John's song never sounded so good that I decided to make a paddle dedicated to it.

Truth be told , I had such a nice time on the water with Pete's group last week that I wanted to do it again.

I hope Pete and Amy don't mind me being on their turf :>)

We will paddle about 4-miles total - into the reservoir up Sandy Run Creek to the Hampton Road bridge and back.

Official launch time is at 4:30PM so if you need to rent arrive accordingly :>)

This is a L.E.A.F Paddle ( Lite, Easy , And Fun )

Calling all hammerheads. Our local paddling community's Wunderkind Kyle just picked up a surf ski and wants to take out to play. I, in a state of delusion that I am still young, will be attempting to keep up with him on my newish "sea ski" (sea kayak converted to a surf ski). We realize this is supposed to be a L.E.A.F paddle but a few of us are planning on killing ourselves shooting for a 4-5 MPH pace and covering 2 - 3 times the distance. If you have an appropriate boat and have been eating your Wheaties, you are welcome to come and see, like me, if you can keep pace with our newest speedster.
