Marketing 101: Messaging Basics for Start-ups & Solopreneurs (free event)

Description

There comes a point, fairly soon after getting a new business off the ground, when the focus shifts away from creation and toward marketing. You've built this amazing thing, now you have to tell the world about it! You want to make sure you're communicating clearly and convincingly about what your product is, how it works, and why folks should choose WonderApp™ over similar products.

For a lot of us, marketing seems like a necessary evil—it's not what we were thinking about when we started the venture, and frankly it seems like a whole new skill set demanding to be mastered. The good news is, you don't need to produce the next viral Superbowl tweet, you just need to define your brand, know your audience, and keep your social, web, and any print materials consistent.

Join us for this interactive session with communications specialist, Diana Griffith, the Director of Operations and Outreach for the Institute for Business Leadership in Society. Diana will explain key principles of marketing followed by a Q & A. You'll walk away with a better understanding of today's brand communication trends, tips, and nifty tools that will help you get your marketing plan rolling.

Diane Griffith, the presenter showed some marketing techniques and tools I hadn't used much. As she comes to marketing from a writing perspective, I see how writing and visuals work together.
I thought Nicole did a great job of putting together this great event. Truly a win-win.

Nicole, I want to add a friend to this meetup. Is that possible?

    July 23, 2013

    • Nicole N.

Hi Marta, I don't think you can add a friend to the group, but your friend can join herself. If you mean this event specifically, she should join the waiting list.
