What we're about
The Women's Council of Realtor's, Ventura County is a member-based non-profit organization in Ventura County. I am honored to be the President-Elect as women have really come into their own as landowners in the United States and as Realtors, since World War I & World War II eras. The Women's Council of Realtors was developed initially to educate women about the homestead (which they already knew a lot about) and help them to buy and sell land and homes, since the men were off at war. Today, the Council is still in place to offer educational seminars about timely real estate related topics and to create a safe environment to anyone wanting to learn more and to network with like-minded people.
We have many opportunities for involvement with seminars throughout the year, but our annual fundraiser is really what sets the tone for the following year. This year, our fundraiser, "Cowboy Casino Night & Poker Tournament" will be held at Borderline Bar & Grill in Thousand Oaks on Oct. 5th. We are super excited for this new format for men and women that will attract real-estate related individuals as well as the community at large.
Feel free to contact me with any questions! Thank you again for your consideration and for your interest in Women's Council of Realtors, Ventura County!
