VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Put up posters for the DC Walk - Saturday (7/25) - Noon

From: Ray L.
Sent on: Tuesday, July 21, 2009 10:06 PM
Hi Everyone,

This Saturday(7/25), we will work together to put up posters all over the DC Area about the September 26th Walk. By promoting the walk in our communities, we empower the community to take part in the modern day abolitionist movement.

I hope you can join us! For more information about the walk, go to

Here are the details of the postering:

Ways you can help:
1) Put up posters in key areas. All materials will be provided.
2) If you know people who own local businesses, please contact them about displaying our posters.
3) Wear your SMS T-Shirt (if you have them) when you go out.

Posters can be picked up on Saturday (7/25) from 10 AM - 12 PM at the Ellington Apartments (1301 U St. NW, 20009). If you are unable to pick up at that time, we can arrange a different pick up time or to drop them off with you.

From 12:30 PM - 2:30 PM, we will break up into small teams to put up posters. You can join us for this or poster on your own time.

If you would like to help us poster, please email me at [address removed] with the following information:
1) Which area you would like to poster
2) Whether you want to go alone or be teamed up with others
3) When you can pick up the posters
