Fareham Journey in Pae Tū Mōkai, Featherston, is looking for people to join to co-create a sustainable, intergenerational community with an easy commute to Wellington CBD, 1 hour by train or car.
Fareham has a historic home, established organic gardens and a heritage orchard. There is farmland and native bush surrounding, and a swimming pool and an arts community on-site. It is conveniently located near the Featherston railway station. The thriving town hosts Booktown each year, and the Remutaka Rail Trail and the taonga of the Wairarapa Moana are nearby.
Fareham Journey is seeking people who share the vision to live in a supportive and sustainable cohousing community designed by the people who live in it, using shared decision-making principles so everyone’s voice is incorporated.
Public events are held on the third Sunday of every month, from 12 to 2pm, to share information about cohousing, the vision of Fareham Journey, share some kai, and tour the property. These are free events but you need to RSVP to attend.
