June 3 day Weekend Sailing in Alicante

June, long weekend sailing in the sun. I am organizing another great weekend.  This is a great opportunity a weekend sailing in sunny Alicante mid June. Get some sun and swimm in blue waters. Full Price £220 and is all included: boat charter, insurance, professional skipper, mooring fees and diesel, also food (breakfast, lunch and snacks but not dinners out in town). Return flights are from £130 (check skyscanner.net, flights are not included)

Arriving Thursday 19st night, returning Sunday 22th evening.

I'm organizing a 3 day and 3 nights trip on board of a fully coded and insured 44 foot charter yacht with 4 double cabins. As skipper a commercially endorsed Yachmaster instructor and myself also a yachtmaster . As usual, serious fun with security and safety in mind. This trip is also perfect for novices as you will be in professional hands and will have the chance to securely learn about this fantastic sport. Meet people in a wonderful environment. Learn, sunbathe, swim, eat and visit the towns where we get to.

Intro to Alicante

Alicante is the Little Barcelona of the south East Spain, cosmopolitan and with an enviable weather. Daytime temperature in June is around 28 C, during the day, sunny and lovely!. So plenty of time to sail, sunbathe and relax. There is good wind and seas are usually flat, no tide to worry about, so sailing is an absolutely pleasure and fun.

Schedule

Take the late Thursday evening flight after work (only hand luggage needed) and return on Sunday night, jolly, happy, invigorated, well sailed and tan!

The Alicante marina-harbour is a short cab ride from the Alicante airport, about 20 minutes and max 20 euros per cab. There is also a bus shuttle service every 20 minutes for ~2.5 euro.

Alicante harbour/marina has fantastic facilities and restaurants, bars etc. all around....and the beach!

Itinerary (subject to improvement, suggestions and wind direction):

We will arrive around midnight on Thursday 19th, so the idea is going straight to the boat. There will be a welcome nibbles dinner and wine whilst we wait for everyone to arrive. If you arrive early you might drop your bags and go for a stroll around the promenade. You can return on Sunday 22th, you can return later if you wish, and spend one night at a hostel. I will organize this for you but is not included in the price.

On Friday after breakfast on board, we will sail off towards the picturesque La Vila Joiosa  which literally translates like The Jolly Village. The journey is around 4-5 hours depending on how much tacking we have to do...is up to us mock around and spend more time at sea...or at the town..(democratic vote) we can also go to Altea which is 6 hours away depending on wind direction. Upon arrival we will open a bottle or two of Cava and some nice Spanish specialities to nibble , get a shower at the marina facilities...basically; relax and enjoy.

We will have time to visit the town, we will spend the night here at the marina, so we can go out to the promenade and enjoy some local food.....Paella and local fish ;-) overlooking the Mare Nostrum (Roman name for the Med)

We will set off on Saturday after breakfast for a day sailing around Calpe bay and might go to Moraira or back to Alicante in the evening. Same drills and dinner out in town, and for the brave we will go out in town ;-)

Calpe, Ifach rock.

Next, on Sunday morning we go for a day sailing to the island of Tabarca, have lunch at an lovely anchorage and sail off towards Alicante aiming to arrive by 4-5pm so everyone can get the plane back to UK.

All drinks on board are included, and we will eat out 2 nights and normally works out €15-€20 each per dinner.

Bedding is included you don't need a sleeping bag, also a towel is provided. I will also provide toothpaste, shower gel and sunscreen so we don't have to bring hold luggage just for the liquids. Bring only hand luggage.

In the picture Benidorm island, on our way.

Im happy to answer any questions please email me

The payment of the £220 secures your place.

12am as in midnight, so a few hours left to explore alicante on sunday and have dinner before going to the airport... with ryanair being notoriously unreliable i opted to stik around and wait for the easyjet flight to gatwick

Hi Nabeel, I've booked the one that leaves around 12am to Gatwick

    April 30, 2014

    • masi

You are too quick!! Can you change it for the one at 17:05 ?? otherwise you will miss sailing on Sunday.

      May 1, 2014

  • masi

Hi guys you can book the one that leaves at 17:05 ryanail to STN. we just need to come back a bit earlier. If you only carry hand luggage to be at the airport one hour earlier is enough. From the boat to the airport is 20 minutes.

    May 1, 2014

  • Nabeel
