Pre-Xmas Redbourn to Flamstead circular walk 🎄

This was a very popular walk 8 months ago. Don will be leading it again, so bring him an early Mince pie 🥧

We leave at 10.30am prompt from the cricket pavilion 🏏 West Common AL3 7NG. There is a small car park near the pavilion or anywhere around the Common. Please be ready to leave 10 minutes early 🚙

From the common we head through houses to join a road that goes over the motorway and past a farm 🐄 We continue along the road to join a lane that drops down to Trowley Bottom. We then ascend uphill to Flamstead, passing 2 pubs 😢 and a church ⛪️ We return to Redbourn via a little lane past another farm 🐖 to join a bridle path, pass more farm buildings again 🐓and cross back over the motorway. The walk then takes a path past allotments 🥬 and back to Redbourn Common, where we’ll probably end up at the very lovely Holly Bush pub 🍺☕️🍟
Roughy 2.5-3 hours and approx 6 miles.
