Friday at Rincon Trail Santa Cruz

  • May 24, 2013 · 4:30 PM

Since I will be at Nisene this Saturday rather than at Rincon as usual, I've decided to change the ride to a cool Rincon loop that I like to do. Same as last Saturday for those who were there.

Awesome way to shake off the work-week. See you there!

Strong/Advanced Beginner to Intermediate Level Ride. 10+ miles 2+ hours.

If the dirt lot is full park along-side the road on the same side of the lot just before or after it. If you're familiar with the Rincon pullout on HWY 9 in Santa Cruz- that is our meeting spot.

From San Jose: Take Hwy 17 to Santa Cruz. Go straight toward Santa Cruz and stay to the right. Turn right on River Street-turns into Hwy 9. Go 2.4 miles up and you will see the large parking area on the right.

Call me at[masked] if you get lost.

As always a helmet is required for all SJMTB rides and extra protective gear is recommended if you are tentative about riding trails with roots. Extra water, a snack, and your basic trail side tools (multi-tool, tube, pump) should be sufficient for this ride.

It's a very social ride from my experience. If it's only 10 miles over 2 hours I can guarantee you it's very casual.
