Advanced Beginner Ride - I tend to do more training rides in Fall and Winter and this is a great opportunity to build your climbing endurance. This will be about 20 miles - 10 of which are on pretty flat land. We'll meet at my work, warm up on the Los Gatos Creek Trail, go through Lake Vasona, and then head up towards El Serreno.

In terms of difficulty compared to the other 2 climbs here in Los Gatos, I would say it's a bit harder than my beginner rides at St. Joseph's, but it's not at the level of Kennedy. I was doing this ride in only my 2nd month of mountain biking when I was trying to develop my fitness. I highly recommend this for beginner riders looking to get more fit, especially if you've been coming to my beginner rides and wanting more. The downhill is far from technical.

Depending on who comes out, we may even head down to St. Joseph's for a "nice cool down" on Cardiac Hill.

As always, my rides require a helmet and a properly functioning bike.

I'll have to cancel if it rains heavily. Light rain is ok.
