Fort Ord - Creekside Terrace 15 mile Loop

Hey everyone. Hoping you will join me this Saturday to tackle a 15 mile loop I've been doing for a short while. I'm by no means an advanced rider, so this trail is a bit hard for me, but the last time out I was able to get it done in about 2 hours 30 minutes with plenty of breathers along the way. I would recommend this trail if you're an advanced beginner to intermediate only because of the lenthy grinding uphill sections. But as with any uphill climbs, there's a big reward when you go back down :).

In this ride we will use the leapfrog method (second rider stops at an intersection, waits for the last rider, directs them to the correct trail, then brings up the rear), and of course it's recommended you bring a snack to keep your energy levels up, definitely some fluids, and anything else you might need for a quick repair should you need it.

No rider will be dropped, we will ride this at a moderate pace. We start together, and we finish together. Definitely bring a helmet, and as far as mountain bike selection, I'll leave that up to you. Hardtails and full suspension can both do this loop easily. If you'd like to come earlier and enjoy breakfast with me @ First Awakenings around 8 am you're definitely welcome to. Please arrive on time so we can leave within no later than 10 minutes from the planned start time.

Any questions, comments, concerns, or whatever, please post away.

If you'd like a visual of the loop, click on this link...this will be the route.

Julie, This route has more cardio. The technical part of the goat trail is about a mile long. Keep in mind that the graph in the link provided is for doing two loops.
