DISTANCE: 26.7 miles. Elevation Gain: 2486 ft
Up Page Mill Road to Stevens Canyon Trail. Down to Stevens Canyon Rd to Foothill Blvd/Expy back to start.
Riding from Mtn View direction? LMK and we can meet at the McDonald's at El Monte & El Camino Real.
PACE: moderate but constant. SHORT regroups. For intermediate level ONLY please. I'm not a technical rider and am not into jumps, logs, etc. I ride to get into the back country and see nature. So I often walk the dodgy bits.
TECHNICAL LEVEL: Low/medium. There's gravel, rocks. Fit riders are fine if they ride within their skill level. A couple of logs but you can walk that. The rest is fire road and smooth trail for the most part.
• WATER: IT'S SUMMER: BRING A MINIMUM OF 100 OZ. I bring a full 100 oz waterpack plus a 24 oz bottle with sports drink.
• FOOD. LOTS. Drink before you're thirsty; eat before you're hungry. Every stop I stuff my face.
• TOOL KIT, PUMP, TUBE
