Lets go ride in the mountain biking capitol of the free world early May. Myself and some others did a similar trip to this last year except we drove and rode in Los Vegas and St George en route to Moab and Fruita.
This will be a trip to Moab only, probably leaving on 4/28 (a full day drive) and coming back 5/5 (a full day drive). We will be driving from the Bay area up through the 80 through Reno to Salt Lake City and then to Moab.
Once in Moab rides on Porcupine Rim (probably can do 3/4 of the Whole Enchilada because of snow this time of year which is still a 3-4 hours downhill shuttle ride), Sovereign Singletrack, Magnificent 7 , Klondike Bluffs, Slickrock as well as many other rides are planned. We would also ride in Fruita for a day either the "Lunch Loops" or the famous horsethief bench/Kokopelli area trails.
If there is enough interest I will rent a house in Moab. This needs to be done fairly early, so I would like a 100 dollar deposit for those interested in going to reserve a spot. Obviously we would like to carpool. Further planning to be discussed in the discussion space below. Feel free to ping me if you have any questions.
Usual bike protection gear: helmet gloves required elbow pads, knee pads, trail or all mountain bikes are recommended (though not a requirement). I listed the tech and aerobic as 9's not because we ride particularly fast, or go particuarly long, but because this is not a good trip for beginning riders.
