Intro to Kayaking 101
Learn the proper paddle strokes and gain more confidence on the water and enjoy this wonderful sport to it's fullest.
Note: If you don't know what a sweep stroke is and you own your own kayak, you may want to consider taking this class.
This 3 hour course is held on the attractive warm waters of Tampa Bay and includes everything you'll need to know to get started in kayaking or enhance your current skills. All equipment (kayaks and paddles) included if needed.
Class is taught by Carolina Mike an ACA certified instructor (http://www.americancanoe.org/) and 14 year renowned paddling guide.

What you'll learn:
We'll have fun on the water and learn the forward stroke, sweep stroke, reverse sweep stroke, low brace, draw stroke, and boat orienteering.
When: Sunday from 10am-1pm at Bicentennial Park ( drive past the tennis courts to the dirt road and drive around the lake past the dog park and around the left corner of the painted water tanks. There is a lagoon on the other side of the shelter where we'll do the class in protected waters)
Cost: $40 per person if bringing your own kayak $50 if renting a kayak
Note: must prepay using paypal under payments or other arrangements to be signed up.
Bring: Water, close toed water shoes or sandals with a heel strap, NO CROCS or FLIP FLOPS, sunscreen and appropriate clothes for kayaking (bathing suite or shorts.)
