At this point in time it does not look like the goverment is going to get it's act together. I like Theerse idea to hike South Chagrin this Sunday [masked]) at 9:30 am and we will reschedule Kendle Lake Hike for next week [masked]) CVNP. Plese see directions under South Chagrin Hike.

Can we still hike and is it more a parking issue for the cars or are we not allowed in the park at all ? Can anyone comment on this.

It appears that we are not supposed to use the trails. It looks like some (perhaps all?) of the parking lots are gated shut. Found here: https://www.facebook.c... and http://www.the-news-l.... I don't know how to link here, sorry for the long URLs.

Looks like Mary is correct according to the Conservancy Facebook page and the memo from the NPS. https://www.facebook.c... All trails are closed until the government re-opens. Maybe the hike would be better at a Metro Park like South Chagrin, etc.? What do you think?

So, what is the plan if CVNP is still closed due to the government shutdown?

Thank you both for the replies. I had to look up what each miles per hour was in terms of slow or fast. The terms are new to me. :-) But, glad to learn it is more leisurely. That is the main reason I joined this group.
