Build a Bird Box

Details

What better Christmas present for a youngster to give parents or grandparents than something they have made themselves? So Bisham Nest Box Group have offered to host a bird nest box making workshop on behalf of WildCookham on December 3rd at the Methodist Church Hall (Lower Road, Cookham SL6 9HF). To avoid overcrowding, Bob Keene and his team ask you to arrive either at 2pm, 3pm, or 4pm. Event finishes at 4:30pm. All tools and materials will be provided, and each completed box will cost £5. All children must be accompanied by an adult. It's suitable for all ages from 2 to 102!

There's no parking facility but if using the car park at the shopping parade, remember the 1.75hr (105 min) limit there.

If you're interested in getting other wildlife homes for your garden, Bob will be able to guide you, the Bisham bird box group make, sell and install all sorts of homes for swifts, owls, bats and hedgehogs to name a few.

With the Big Garden Birdwatch coming up at the end of January, what better way to prepare than to create your own bird house!
