I am starting a regular series of outings to introduce beginners to the climbing gym. It is a fun sport in and of itself. But, more importantly this is a good way to develop the skills to move on rock and more complex mountain terrain by way of balance, hand holds, foot holds, weight shifting and coordination. This will improve your performance whether you are scrambling on the ridge between Deception Peak and Leak Peak or exploring the summit of Red Pike in Buttermere.
The cost is TBD. It includes one hour of instruction, day pass and equipment rental.
