What we’re about

We are a group of photographers who enjoy getting together to learn, shoot, and grow. Our members range from beginners to seasoned professionals, and everyone is welcome.

The group is organized by volunteers who plan photo outings, arrange monthly meetings, and look for creative opportunities around the Wilmington area. We listen to our members and aim to schedule events that match the group’s interests, whether that’s macro, wildlife, portraits, landscapes, or astrophotography.

We hold a monthly meeting to review recent outings, go over upcoming events, and cover a photography topic. Between meetings, we schedule group shoots and partner with local businesses and organizations that allow us access to unique locations in exchange for photos. It’s a win for them and a great opportunity for us.

We encourage members to get involved, share ideas, and help out where they can. Even small contributions make a big difference when more people participate.

The Wilmington Photography Group has a $20 annual membership fee that covers expenses such as this site, materials, and future outings. We offer a two week free trial so new members can make sure the group is a good fit before paying. Organizers do not receive any compensation.

This group is open to anyone 18 or older who wants to learn, shoot, and enjoy photography with like-minded people. If that sounds like you, we’d love to have you.
