Pinot Noir, Old World Vs. New World

This is not a bring your own wine event.

We will supply eight different wines: four from the old world, four from the new. They will be blind.

Three will be from Burgundy, one will be from either Alsace or Germany.

Three will be from the US; one will be from New Zealand.

One may be Pinotage from South Africa. Which is not Pinot Noir.

The cost for everything: $40. That includes the food, the place and the wines.

If you bring food, you may take off $5 from the cost.

Please RSVP. Thank you.

I would be delighted to attend, if there is still a place at the table!

Just got a big editing assignment, so I should stay home and work. I see the intended 24-person cap has been exceeded, so I will leave room for others.

Will more bottles be added if many people rsvp?

We'll probably stick to eight plus one Cremant and one dessert wine. It should be enough, however, the pours will be generous. We'll get at least two bottles per person. The price point will be high.

The ratio will actually be one bottle per two persons

Those who know me know my feeling on Pinot Noir, so I will skip this event, but I know everyone there will have a wonderful time. Enjoy.

Unfortunately I can't attend events on Tuesday evenings & it seems that is when most of your events are held.

Schedule it for Fairfield and you can have any day you want!

The price point for the wines will be fairly high for this event, so we do ask for a sure RSVP. We can accommodate a few people who plan to come last minute; it's inconvenient when people do not show up when we've purchased the wines.

Might be a touch late, but I'll be there with bells on. :-)
