Hello!
My name is Melissa Yakimowsky and I have been in the wine industry for about 5 years now. I love wine, it is a passion of mine, but I also love food. Someday I will open up my very own wine bar, but until then I want to share these two passions of mine with others.
Another thing that I am passionate about is hosting and entertaining, meeting other people and getting to know their story. This is what the group is about. Whether we meet at my house and I will cook, and provide the wine (you may also bring a bottle or 2), or we dine out at a local spot where they have excellent food and wine. I know a bunch!
I too have to mention that I am Italian and what we do best and celebrate while bringing people together. I want to do this with both exceptional food, wine, and conversations.
So, what do you say? If you have any recommendations or suggestions, please let me know. I am open to them all!

Can you believe we are already in June? These past few months have gone by so fast. I have been traveling quite a bit lately and I am eager to host another fantastic Meetup with all of you! See details below, and I can't wait to see everyone :)

What to expect: Summer is all about gathering with friends, drinking great wine, enjoying some light food, and mingling with new and old friends. I will be hosting a very informal small bites and wine pairing (Summer Edition). This will be an opportunity to come and enjoy some wines that go together with your favorite summer foods (think tomato and mozz, grilled peaches, watermelon, cheeses, charcuterie, and more). I hope you will join me for this incredible bites, bottles, and sunshine tasting.
Agenda: We will start with a welcome drink, some light bites, and have a very informal wine tasting. I will supply all the food and wine, and will provide wine tasting placemats for you to write down notes about each wine. If this is your first time, don't worry. It's all about having fun, talking about wine, and learning more about what wines pair with what dishes. It's a great opportunity to be your own explorer.
Need to bring: All you have to do is please don't forget your STEMMED WINE GLASS. That is all you have to bring. I do have some extras, but not enough to supply everyone. If you want to compare multiple wines, you may bring a 2nd glass.
