How did you hear about the NYC Italian Language, Food & Culture Club?

I followed a link on

What kinds of events would you like our group to host?

Food, wine, culture, anything Italian.

What inspired you to learn Italian?

The Italian restaurant Alloro (E. 77 St.) hosts a monthly combination dinner/Italian lesson that I went to back in December just for fun, and I was hooked.

Do you have any expertise related to Italian language, food or culture that might be useful in planning our future events and activities?

Not expertise, but strong interest. I saw 2 of the Open Road films, one Italian New Directors/New Films at MOMA, am getting one Italian film a week from Netflix, and just purchased tickets to Trilogia Della Villeggiatura at Lincoln Center.

What level of Italian do you speak? 1. Beginner 2. Conversant 3. Advanced/Native

In between Beginner and Conversant.

I am studying Italian, going to Italy in the fall, and want to practice conversation.

What Nina is saying about this Meetup Group

Fun practice with fellow Italian speakers/students.
