Opportunity: Reedy River Jazz and Wine Festival

This is an opportunity, not an official meetup.  It is a wine related event that we feel you may want to know about.  Visit http://www.reedyriverjazzandwinefestival.org to purchase tickets.

The 2013 Reedy River Jazz & Wine Festival will be held on Friday, April 26 at the TD Stage at The Peace Center overlooking the Reedy River in downtown Greenville, SC.  Bring your lawn chairs!

The Reedy River Jazz & Wine Festival will soothe the soul and excite the palate. All at the same time. The beautiful, relaxed setting of the TD Stage at The Peace Center is the perfect backdrop to kick back and enjoy some of the finest regionally and nationally acclaimed musicians as they put their passion on display.  Add in delectable foods, amazing wines and a worthy cause, and you have a jazz festival Upstate audiences can really embrace. And help support and grow for years to come.

All proceeds from the Festival will go to support the Ronald McDonald House here in the Upstate.

It was not very well attended and the only wines I liked were Dave Ball's Calicaro! They were kind of cheap with the food and the music was not that great. Don't think anyone paying $60 for a ticket got their money's worth, but Ronald McDonald house is a great cause. It was a beautiful evening.

I like the way the food was controlled by tickets this year to avoid running out early. But the jazz music itself was rather uninspiring compared to previous years.

I am so disappointed, we are not able to come, we bought tickets but my husband came home today with a nasty bug and we are not going to make it. I have given our tickets to friends, so they would not go to waste.....we will try again next year. :( Have FUN everyone!!!

Good advice about the chair. I'll be sure to bring one.

And I seem to remember them running out of food early last time, so don't wait too long to show up.

Do we really need to bring our own chair?!!

You don't have to, no. But you will be sitting on the grass if you don't. Also, chairs tend to hold your "spot" better if you want to return to it, and are much more comfortable because they have back support.

I am looking forward to attending the Reedy River Jazz Festival. Last year was fantastic and plenty of good food and desserts. They had approximately over 50 bottles of red and white wines to taste. I highly recommend everyone to attend.
