The first Wired New York Photo Shoot Meetup will happen this Sunday. Photography enthusiasts of any skill level and with any kind of camera are welcome.
We will meet at 3pm in Central Park, on Bethesda Terrace (http://wirednewyork.com/parks/central_park/central_park_bethesda.htm), on the North side of the Angels of the Waters Fountain, next to the Lake.
There are many opportunities in Central Park - we might take a boat ride, shoot dance skaters, or visit Boathouse.
After the Central Park we might have a stroll down Fifth Avenue.
Before the sunset (which will occur at 8:20pm) we will be able to shoot the sun setting down directly along Manhattan streets (sometimes called Manhattan Stonehenge effect). I think the 42nd Street around Grand Central might be a good spot.
Next we will take 7 train to Queens, where we will be able to shoot fireworks in celebration of Queensboro Bridge Centennial. The fireworks will happen at 9:15pm and the spot to shoot would be around Gantry Park in Queens West (http://wirednewyork.com/queens/queens_west/).
If you are late for the meetup or if you want to join the group at a later time, give me call at[masked].
I am looking forward to meeting everyone on Sunday for an exciting photo shoot!
