The NY Auto Show opens at the Jacob Javits Convention Center, on the west side of midtown Manhattan. This is a great event for photographers. There will be cars and trucks making their first appearance in NY, concept cars, exotic imports, alternative fuel vehicles, lovely ladies presenting the cars, and go-go boys. (I may have made that last part up). Let's document the brave face put on by our American car companies. There are vendors in the upstairs exhibition area, for those members who need to get a new Sham-Wow or a miniature Ferrari.
We will meet at 6 pm, and the show is open until 10:30 pm. The admission charge is $14. The Convention Center is on 11th Avenue, between 34th and 39th Streets. The M34 and M42 buses go there. You can use www.hopstop.com for more detailed directions.
If you are late, or can't find the group, (the Javits Center is a bit large), my cell is[masked]. We will meet in the lobby, at the south ticket booths.
Bring your cameras and your batteries!
