GO Brooklyn Art - open studios event

Brooklyn is home to more artists than anywhere else in the United States, making it the creative capital of the art world. GO: a community-curated open studio project is a borough-wide initiative designed to foster personal exchange between Brooklyn-based artists, their communities, and the Brooklyn Museum.

During GO, Brooklyn artists will open their studios to the community, sparking a dialogue between artists and their neighborhoods.

We will meet at the Four & Twenty Blackbirds cafe, which is a block or so from 2 subway stations. One subway station is for the F, G lines, the other for the D, N, R lines.

My cell phone number is[masked] in case you are lost. From the meeting place we will proceed to studios in the Gowanus area, 168 7th St, 94 9th St, 183 Lorraine St etc.

A brave few art enthusiasts might make it to studios in Red Hook, where they will stand on its shores and gaze at the Statue at Liberty across the bay.

Thank you for leading, Andru and Edward! Enjoyed my first meetup (yes, "first ever" meetup) -- looking forward to more ArtForward adventures.

My first meet up ever and flooding, traffic delays and poor sense of direction got in the way of me joining the group. I got to explore brooklyn so all was not lost.

Fun and informative. Humidity was the only drawback.
