Kitty’s Gorge - Jarrahdale to Serpentine Falls and back (17.5km)

Kitty's Gorge is a very picturesque track that starts at Jarrahdale and winds it's way down the Gooralong Brook and Serpentine River past impressive rock formations, granite outcrops, several waterfalls reaching the halfway point at Serpentine Falls. A photographers dream when the waters are flowing, we should see kangaroos near the picnic area where we can pause to enjoy a packed snack or a cuppa before we begin our trek back uphill to our starting point.
Once returned, it is a very short drive to the extremely popular 'Local PO Kitchen' where we can enjoy a proper lunch and refreshments of our choice!

Kitty's Gorge Walk Trail
Meet at Jarrahdale where we begin walking from, just after 8:30am. (87 Atkins St · Jarrahdale, WA)
Distance: 17.5 km about 4hrs walking. Elevation 390m
Difficulty: A moderate hike given its distance, it is a clearly marked dirt walking trail with some steep and rocky sections to make it more challenging. We expect that you should have a good level of fitness and be a regular walker as we will maintain a high rate around 5 and a half km per hour. If it has rained overnight some sections could be slippery.
What to bring: Water, good hiking shoes, rain coat, hat & sunscreen (strongly suggest poles), snacks for half way nibble.
Toilets: At the National Park falls and the café.
Café after the walk: Jarrahdale Local Po Kitchen. Not to be missed! There may also be cake 🍰 for Annas birthday.

We aim to set-off for each walk at the advertised time and as a general rule, we set off on-time for each walk.
